We are looking for a Fundraising and Partnerships Adviser

Applications close at 15:00 GMT on Friday 6th November 2026

The Frontier Tech Hub is supporting FOUND and IdentIA, two FCDO-funded pilots that use technology to search for and identify missing people in Mexico. We’re looking for one or more consultants to help each pilot secure funding for its next phase, and to map who else is working on technology to find and identify missing people across Latin America.

Deadline for applications: Friday 6th November 2026 at 15:00 GMT

The Challenge

Through the Frontier Tech Hub, FCDO Mexico is supporting two pilots exploring how emerging technologies can help address the disappearance crisis in Mexico. FOUND uses geospatial analysis and other technologies to support searches. IdentIA helps forensic institutions match missing persons to unidentified remains through text or image queries of tattoos, so families don't have to look through thousands of morgue photographs by hand.

The opportunity

Both pilots are already delivering critical results: FOUND-supported searches have contributed to locating 51 people, while IdentIA has supported the identification of the remains of 19 people in Jalisco state.

Working closely with public institutions, both solutions are now being tested and scaled in other Mexican states and across Latin America, including Guatemala and Colombia.

The pilots are now at a crucial stage, where additional funding is needed to expand and sustain their work. At the same time, FCDO Mexico wants to look beyond the two pilots and explore the potential for a wider portfolio of technology solutions for missing people.

We are seeking one or more independent consultants for the following scope of work:

  • Workstream A: Fundraising strategy for FOUND and IdentIA (about 10 to 15 days). Working with the FOUND and IdentIA teams to target the right funders, shape a clear ask for each, and make warm introductions to get conversations started.

  • Workstream B: Ecosystem mapping and problem framing (about 5 to 10 days). Mapping who funds, builds, uses and regulates technology for missing people in Mexico and Latin America, and recommending a framing of the problem that resonates with governments, funders and families.

You can apply for Workstream A, Workstream B, or both.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for consultants with knowledge of the search and identification system in Mexico and professional working proficiency in Spanish and English. For Workstream A, you’ll also need live relationships with funders. For Workstream B, you’ll need trusted relationships with government institutions, family collectives and civil society.
