CLOSED: Seeking expert to support the production of an AI ChatBot

Application deadline: 09:00 UK time, 1st September 2023.

The Frontier Tech Hub is helping the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) apply frontier technologies to the biggest challenges in development.

The programme works with FCDO staff around the world to test and scale technology with the potential for positive social impact. To find out more about the programme and its goals, further explore our website.

The FCDO is leading cross-government efforts to conduct a public consultation into its approach
to international development.

The responses from this consultation will need to be sifted and synthesised to pull out useful trends and ideas. A team of advisors will be reading every response, however, given the discrete and controlled scope of the data, this is a clear opportunity for testing an AI Large Language Model (LLM) to help query the data and pull out useful trends, to complement the existing approach.

The opportunity is therefore to support the FCDO with AI expertise to help develop a data cleaning, sorting and summarising service, together with an AI Chatbot that can be used to interrogate the data with natural language.

Who we are looking for?

The Frontier Tech Hub is looking to contract an individual/team to work alongside FCDO technology advisers to understand the team’s AI requirements, and then explore what the data could provide.

A full specification, as well as selection criteria, can be found HERE in the job description, as well as details on how to apply. We look forward to hearing from you!

Application deadline: 09:00 UK time, 1st September 2023.

Please note: Because the individuals or teams will need access to FCDO’s development environments, they must already have security clearance at Security Check (SC) level to be considered for the role.
